Environmental and Creative

Environmental and Creative Explore your creative side by learning to throw a pot on the pottery wheel, build a wood project in our woodshop, craft a stained glass project, make a pendant with the lapidary machines, create a papier mache masterpiece – crafts is always a favourite camp activity.

Environmental and Creative Campers who attend either Periods 1 or 2 have the opportunity to participate in one of two theatre productions. These performances are often a highlight for campers who love drama and music!

Environmental and Creative Experience, qualified staff plan canoe trips with campers who have chosen to participate. There are a variety of pre-selected routes that vary from 3 to 7 days in length. The duration of the trip and degree of challenge depend upon the camper's age and skill level. Younger campers participate in an overnight on Lake Bernard and camp at sites owned by GBC at various locations around the lake. If you are entering grade 9 or older, you may wish to experience a longer trip. The Wilderness Canoe Trip may be just the opportunity you are seeking!
